Today’s sizable student debt burden is paralyzing our economy. Mark is committed to fighting for our students by keeping tuition rates affordable. Mark is the only current Trustee to never vote for a tuition increase.
Property Taxes
Mark knows hard working families can't afford the increasing cost of property taxes. Mark will work to keep our college strong, while responsibly reducing the property tax mill levy. Mark has consistently proposed property tax relief every year he has been on the Board of Trustees.
Career Focused Academics
Mark helped launch hands-on programs like CDL training, plumbing, and partnerships with businesses locally to prepare students for high-demand jobs. As a former journeyman carpenter, Mark values practical skills and will keep building programs that connect students with good-paying careers in Johnson County.
